My Story

Theresa Harris is an accomplished leader with over four decades of extensive experience in management and executive roles. As the founder, past President, and CEO of TMH Solutions—a minority-owned and woman-owned company established in 2010—Theresa has built a firm based in Ohio that emphasizes collaboration with customers, strategic partners, and consultants to deliver meaningful business value.

 

Recognized for her ability to generate returns on investment, Theresa ensures that technology aligns seamlessly with business needs. She excels in fostering relationships and prioritizing customer satisfaction, which are crucial for successfully implementing mission-critical projects. Her hands-on approach has resulted in substantial cost savings for her clients while modernizing business processes and enhancing operational efficiency.

 

Throughout her career, Theresa has effectively managed collaborations between system integrators and third-party partners, ensuring that technical specifications are thorough and precise. She is vigilant in identifying and tracking project risks and issues, facilitating timely resolutions. With a knack for defining project deliverables and creating detailed specification documents, Theresa has consistently contributed to the success of her teams and projects.

 

Theresa's distinguished career includes her role as an Application Sales Manager for the public sector at Oracle, a Fortune 100 company, where she served multiple states and demonstrated her prowess as a top performer in business development, sales management, and professional services. Notable achievements during her tenure at firms such as Blackwell Consulting Services of Ohio, LLC, Compuware, Computer Associates, and Xerox include steering a newly established startup to become a preferred vendor for government ERP consulting services and transforming a struggling branch office into the top branch in the company.

 

In addition to her corporate experience, Theresa possesses a comprehensive background in corporate governance. She has chaired or been a member of essential NYSE standing committees, such as audit, nominations and governance, and compensation. Appointed by Ohio Governor John Kasich, she served on the Ohio Minority Business Advisory Council and was a two-term Board Chair at the Mid-Ohio Foodbank, overseeing both finance and audit committees. Theresa is also a board trustee at Otterbein University, where she serves as Vice Chair on the audit and governance committees, and a board trustee for the Coalition of the Common Good. Additionally, she serves as a board advisor at the University of Detroit Mercy College of Business and is a past President of the National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO) in Columbus.

 

Theresa is the Founder and an Advisory Board member of the Senior African American Leaders in Technology (SAALT) Group, established in 2016 to provide leadership training for individuals seeking advancement in information technology, as well as for those pursuing board positions and advising small to medium-sized businesses on growth strategies.

 

Her impressive achievements and leadership in the business community highlight her dedication and impact. Recognized by organizations such as WELD and Smart Business magazine, Theresa has been acknowledged as a pioneer for women in business. Her accolades from events like the Diverse Women in Tech Summit and the NAWBO Visionary Award underscore her commitment to diversity and inclusion within the industry. 

 

Theresa's educational background, including her degree from the University of Detroit Mercy and completion of the Dartmouth Tuck School of Business Executive Program, underscores her comprehensive understanding of business principles and practices. Overall, her accomplishments serve as an inspiration to many aspiring leaders, reinforcing her passion for helping organizations thrive.
